Maison Martin-Matte Québec City / Pavillon Patrice Villeneuve
Inaugurated in 2017, the Maison Martin-Matte Québec City/Pavillon Patrice-Villeneuve is the result of the hard work of the organization Milieu de vie TCC (MVTCC). Determined to offer a housing solution to people living with a head injury or a serious physical impairment, MVTCC successfully created this housing resource that accommodates 30 people.
Maison Martin-Matte Québec City / Pavillon Patrice Villeneuve
The residence is central to services, on Boulevard de l’Ormière in Québec City. It is a five-storey building with 75 units. The Maison Martin-Matte, which occupies the first two floors, has 30 units adapted to people living with a physical impairment, ten of which are reserved for people living with a head injury. This residence met a need that had long been identified: avoiding institutionalizing someone who has suffered a head injury and who needs supervision in an adapted living environment. An adapted living environment This model of residence is unique in the Capitale-Nationale region. Too many people living with a head injury, mostly young adults and adults, unfortunately live in long-term care facilities (CHSLD), in private residences for seniors or with their parents, places that are not organized or adapted to meet their needs. They can now live in a residential environment that fosters their autonomy and encourages their full social participation because they have the stimulation, setting, and supervision appropriate to their condition. As part of an agreement with the CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale, residents in the Maison Martin-Matte Québec City enjoy a range of services, such as meal and housekeeping services, and assistance for domestic activities and daily life. Assistance and supervision services are also available around the clock. Contact 9775, boulevard de l’Ormière, Québec (Québec) G2B 0B8 Directeur générale : Benoît Durand

“I am an 80-year-old grandmother, and I would like to offer you a huge THANK YOU for your house on Boulevard L’Ormière in Québec City. My 23-year-old grandson with a head injury lived in a room with seniors, and now he has his apartment thanks to you and all the services he needs. May God bless you for this incredible act of generosity to our Raphaël.”
