A head injury shakes the foundations

It shakes up lives, not just brains.

With your donations, the Martin-Matte Foundation offers support to children and adults living with a head injury or a physical disability. The support can be as big as an adapted house or as simple as respite activities.

Head injuries

Every 4 hours, someone hits hard times.

A head injury is a blow to the head that causes brain dysfunction. On the roads of Québec alone, someone suffers one every 4 hours.

If it happens so often, why aren’t we talking about it? Because the after-effects are invisible and because no two are alike.

A foundation that builds houses. That’s pretty funny.

The Martin-Matte Foundation isn’t for Martin Matte

About

The Foundation was originally created for his brother, Christian Matte, victim of a serious head injury.

Today, the Martin-Matte Foundation exists to offer quality of life to people who, like him, are living with a head injury or a physical disability. Funds go toward adapted homes where residents can live in dignity, and to respite services for their family.
