Les beaux 4h : A RECORD number of donations !
Feb 10, 2025
Montreal, February 9, 2025 – Yesterday, the 10th edition of the Beaux 4h event by the Fondation Martin-Matte broke all records by raising an exceptional amount of $1,070,832 in donations – a first in the event's history! More than 800 people participated by skiing, walking, or engaging in an activity of their choice near their homes, setting a new record for participation in the process.
From January 8 to February 8, for the 10th consecutive year, Martin Matte and the ambassadors of the Fondation Martin-Matte invited Quebecers to get outside and move to support people living with brain injuries (TBI) or physical disabilities, and it’s clear that their call was heard!
Presented by the National Bank in collaboration with Tanguay, the 10th anniversary of the Beaux 4h event ended on a high note yesterday on the slopes of Sommet Saint-Sauveur, a loyal and generous host since the very first edition of the event. The evening concluded with a lively performance by Trois Accords at the foot of the mountain!
Martin Matte, the founder and co-spokesperson of the Fondation, expressed his gratitude for this extraordinary mobilization during this edition:
“What a joy to see you all gathered here tonight to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Beaux 4h! Your commitment and mobilization deeply move me. Thanks to you, we’ve reached an exceptional record: $1,070,832 in donations! Every donation matters and has a real impact on the lives of people living with brain injuries or physical disabilities, like my brother, who face immense challenges. Your generosity changes lives. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!”
An inclusive hybrid model was again offered to participants, inviting them to raise as many donations as possible while engaging in a physical activity of their choice for 4 hours between January 8 and February 8.
The closing event, held yesterday at Sommet St-Sauveur, offered the opportunity to ski or, for the first time this year, to walk 4 km through the streets of the picturesque village of St-Sauveur in a festive atmosphere.
The Foundation emphasized that this success is particularly due to the essential support of their event co-chairs. René Demers, First Vice President, Corporate and Private Banking, Real Estate, at National Bank, mobilized 154 employees who raised $264,772. Additionally, Marie-Berthe Des Groseillers, President and CEO of BMTC Group Inc., and her Tanguay team raised $357,935 through a corporate campaign. The Beaux 4h also enjoys valuable partnerships with Maxi, Montoni, and Québecor.
Outstanding Ambassadors
The Fondation Martin-Matte also celebrated the support and participation of its remarkable ambassadors, who fully embraced its mission and greatly contributed to the resounding success of the 10th edition of Beaux 4h! Once again, Martin Matte and Fabien Cloutier were joined by Émilie Bierre, Louis Blouin, Gaël Comtois, Mélanie Boucher, Pierre Brassard, Nathalie Cavezzali, Ariel Charest, Alexandre Dubé, Daniel Grenier, Jean-Michel Leblond, Patrice Robitaille, and Ghislain Taschereau.
